Since people are talking about the rocker to ballad ratio this note concerns me:

In 1999, Pineda caught the attention of Warner Bros. record label and flew back to the Philippines on his days off to record a solo album, the self-titled “Arnel Pineda” which he wrote and arranged. Most of the album’s ten original songs are slow ballads, with only two upbeat numbers,

I dunno...Not so sure that Pineda will have a major input on the new songs. Perhaps he contributed with some lyrics and vocal lines here and there but I doubt his "soft" side had any influence on the new material.
Who knows - maybe Neal "wants to rock" again. No one can change his mind this time I guess. :wink:
