That said, I honestly didn't find the guy's performance in that youtube clip to be anything even remotely remarkable. Now, it's entirely possible that this particular clip doesn't do the guy justice. I happen to be a fan of The Little River Band's music (at least some of it). I just don't believe based on that clip, he's even in the ballpark of being called "the other voice", but hey, that's just one guy's opinion!

John from Boston

Andrew won't be pleased with this.

John Farnham is simply AMAZING!!!

This version of HELP, and he's well into his fifties in this clip, is proof of how excellent he is.

Now ya talking...one of the great talents of all time.

But Farnham...truly one of th elegendary voices of all time. So respected, but so unknown outside of this country. Al musicians know about him though...I'm always getting told by artists how much hey admire John.

I got propped by Andrew?!?!?! WELL THATS FRICKEN AWESOME!!!!

Yeah Rick Springfield is still amazing. I saw him at a Casino here in So Cal and he literally walked out into the crowd, stepped in my chair during "Human Touch" and had all these hotties creaming in their panties in an attempt to touch a legend. At 58, the guy still brings it. My wife and I will watch him again this year when next he comes back, it's a fun time no doubt.

Oh and I know it's an Arnel reference, but he credits John Farnham as a musical influence.

Shame she doesn't sound anywhere near as good as she looks.

Props to the original poster - Farnham is the business. Simply the best at what he does.

Nice, they are all good. Though from what I read Icehouse wasn't all the strong performing live.

Classic band here - bring on, the Cold Chisel! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jfKR-wIcEM

Couldn't get that tune out of my head all day. Love it when that happens.

Just like when I discovered Phil Seymour (skip to 1:17 for the tune)

I know, most of you probably know all about him, Twilley and Tom Petty from wayback. Except for Petty, I missed out on them. Semour's solo album is excellent.

Did they tour in Austrailia with G and R back in the day? I remember reading somewhere that Axel and the boys refused to tour down under unless the Angels were with em. Lots of great 80's American bands knew of these guys (GREAT WHITE covered at least two of their tunes) , but for some reason they never made a splash here. By God I loved 'em though! Doc Neeson is one of the great frontmen of all time!

Seymour does the backing vocals on Petty's "American Girl". Check out Petty helping out Seymour and Twilley on this one:
