So that leaves Journey alone to snag Heart. That's my guess.

Journey/Heart would be interesting but I don't see it happening. Doubtful the sisters will respect them without Perry in the band.

Journey/Foreigner makes the most sense.

Journey/Loverboy? I really don't see it happening. Loverboy have been touring amusement parks and small casino's for a really long time now. Don't see the draw unless they're part of a 3 act bill with Foreigner in the mix.

Survivor, dude.
Come on you're a Chicago guy. Just find Frankie in Joe Vana's bar and tell him to get off his ass get ready to do some REAL touring.

What would've been the greatest lineup of all time would be to have Journey, Boston, and Foreigner all on the same bill. Sadly, Boston is probably done as a group and both Journey and Foreigner have long ago left their original, and best, lead singers behind.

That would indeed be the bill of the decade, with original singers that is.

It would still be pretty good, even with Arnel in Journey, Hansen in Foreigner, and if Scholz were to decide to bring Boston back out one more time with Fran Cosmo.

I haven't heard Fran with Boston. But I LOVED Boston, the memories of riding in a wide open jeep with More than a Feeling blaring out the car. Those were the days.

Never happen, but...
with Roger Taylor, Brian May and Paul Rodgers recording a studio album expected to be released later this year, imagine the possibilities of teaming with Frig, Fro and the boys for a HUGE tour.

Like Queen.

Like Bad Company.

Don't like Paul Rodgers singing Queen songs. Has nothing to do with JSS either. Just not the right voice for it, imo.

Rodgers cut a one off album called "The Law" that is great.

Journey is an opening band at this point. I would have to want to see the band they are opening for to even attend.

Journey & Guns N Roses. Then you won't have to worry about a headliner, because at least one is guarenteed not to show up a majority of the time.

Well, it'd certainly be the biggest crowd they've played for since the early 80's.

I still stick with my choice of a Journey/Whitesnake bill... maybe throw in Dokken or Foreigner as well. Perfect, in my opinion.

How do they usually do it? Do they have a contrast in style and type of music between openers and headliners or do they generally try and match them up musically? I was thinking that they would have somewhat of a contrast to draw in crowds from both sides. And about GnR, well I'm not much for the new style of GnR. It's too bad that they couldn't have all the original members of that band perform. Last I heard they had some dude named bucket head instead of slash. I'm sure Colonel Sanders would be proud to see that.

Buckethead's no longer with GNR.

Buckethead is actually a very incredible and technically profound guitarist.

Yeah, his playing is great, the bucket is what I'm not so sure about though. Seems like Ozzy had a thing or two to say about the bucket as well. From the wiki:

In an interview with Revolver, Ozzy Osbourne stated that he had offered to have Buckethead play guitar in his band at Ozzfest. Ozzy quickly changed his mind after meeting with him when Buckethead refused to go on stage without his disguise:

“ I tried out that Buckethead guy. I met with him and asked him to work with me but only if he got rid of the fucking bucket. So I came back a bit later and he's wearing this green fucking Martian's-hat thing! I said, 'Look, just be yourself'. He told me his name was Brian, so I said that's what I'd call him. He says, 'No one calls me Brian except my mother'. So I said, 'Pretend I'm your mum then!'. I haven't even got out of the room and I'm already playing fucking mind games with the guy. What happens if one day he's gone and there's a note saying, 'I've been beamed up'? Don't get me wrong, he's a great player. He plays like a motherfucker.
