OT: McCartney "Jazz Hands" video

"Ever Present Past", my favorite track off "Memory Almost Full". I check the video and it looks like they ripped off Napoleon Dynamite's dance and jazz hands skit. Only thing they're missing are the moon boots.

There's some interesting sounds in the background there. One sounds like it was from Strawberry Fields Forever.

Even though they didn't play on it, this would've been a good tune to have Ringo, Julian, Sean and Dhani Harrison as a faux Beatles band video.

You have to hand it to Paul. All these years, and at 64 yrs. old now, he has stayed relevant in the music business. I used to have a major schoolgirl crush on him as the "cute" Beatle. Now, I just adore the guy. Those sneakers he's wearing in the video gave me the chuckles. I recall seeing him in those very sneakers in a photo of him and John in "their" schoolkid days, before they took the music world by storm. Gosh, that's a 50-year time span.

Now, I just adore the guy. Those sneakers he's wearing in the video gave me the chuckles. Amazing that he's been able to keep the music flowing. Makes me hate Lennon's killer all the more. Lennon would've continued to put out genius work.

That was great, StoneCold. Paul is a very down-to-earth person, despite all the dirt that is coming out about him now due to his divorce battle. When he and Heather were still married, a couple of years back, there would be a story from time to time in the Life section of my local (Reno, NV) paper about sightings of them up at Lake Tahoe. Apparently, they like to go do some skiing during lulls in Paul's touring schedule. At night, they would hang out among the commoners sitting in a favorite pub, listening to live music. Paul would be very cool and would shout out song requests toward the stage to the musicians. And it's never a Beatles tune or one of his own. It's always an old favorite, like a Chuck Berry or James Brown song, for instance.

My Aunt and Uncle took Hubby Bub and I to see him and
I was 8 months pregnant for our second son who was born
the day after Paul's birthday......yup that was the best for me.

I bet the bands were nervous as hell to be playing requests for a real Beatle.

Mills, I don't believe anything coming from her. She could be telling the truth but she's shot her reputation all to hell in this fiasco. At least he hasn't let it affect his music.

Glad to hear he doesn't request his own stuff. I've read he's a perfectionist when it comes to recording music so few bands could do the Beatles justice. Wonder if he ever heard Delp's Beatlejuice?

Paul did a spot on the site and it shows him laying down all the tracks (Drums, Bass, Guitar, etc.). I think the site is http://showmehowtoplay.com/. Unfortunately, I don't see the videos anymore. It was pretty cool.

Best track on the new album is "Only Mama Knows". GREAT rock tune from Paul, who is 65 (not 4).
The guy's gift for melody is truly inspirational. I wish he'd take more time on some of his lyrics though.
