Not sure if any of you are into newsgroups or not, but somebody posted some Journey boots in alt.binaries.mp3 this weekend that I'd not seen before.

79- Chicago
79- Wisconsin
81- Houston (looks like an abbreviated Summit show)
83- somewhere else I can't remeber

Worth a look if you don't have them.

Can you post a link so we can get to the group?

I access them through a news reader. It's not a web site but an actual newsgroup, so I'm not sure how I'd do that.
Anybody? Sorry to have incomplete info for ya...

The 83 show is Norman, Oklahoma- July 21st- somebody may have posted it here before.

I dunno, I really think that on the 83 tour, at least toward the end of it, the band was REALLY sloppy. Perry's voice was pretty haggard and everything was played at 20 times the normal speed... not that great, though Smith was killing. When compared with prior tours, and actually the ROR tour as well, the band wasn't as good live in 83 in my opinion. The early shows of the tour were great, but as it went on, ugh. Cain was also playing some lame ass horn parts in songs like "Line of Fire" and "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'". blech...

That Norman show is pretty good, but I would swear you can hear the click track on that one.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
