Shoot for 21. No entry to the casinos under that age. But you'd have a blast sitting in the hotel room, for sure!

Good point. I would have to sneak in with some fake press credentials or something.

That's the evil Ticketmaster using an old stock photo, although Journey should call them out and provide them with a recent one.

WOW! They're playing a CASINO!!!!

Who'd have imagined!

In Las Vegas, every major stage there is affiliated with a Casino. The venue will be large and has housed some of the world's most viable acts.

Point taken...I'm just razzing the old boys, anyway!

Certainly beats a state fair, anyhow...

You could go to the show. The 21 rule is for the gaming areas. You may walk thru the gaming areas but not stop. The shows you could go to unless otherwise stated. If you look at the link Rip provided it actually says no one under 5 is allowed.
When in doubt, DUCK!

Let's do it, bro -- but how do you guys coordinate on tickets and stuff when you meet at shows -- do you try to get seats close together?

Wow a possible Journey GTG?

Postby ttango1 » Sat Jan 26, 2008 1:56 pm

I've never done it for concerts but for sporting events, I've done it plenty. Ya can't sit all together unless someone pulls group ticket deal, which is a pain in the ass to do unless someone is willing to front the cash. I think 20 people will qualify for groups though I'm sure a check on the tickethellmaster site will tell you.

Anyways, for sporting events, we just hookup afterwards and talk about the experience. Since it's Vegas, there are PLENTY of restaurants with plenty of Alcohol available to those old enough to get a drink.

Oh and for those that don't know what a GTG is? It's a Get Together.

I definitely want the best seats I can get -- there's just one sticker... The Mrs. has already mentioned she wants to go, which complicates everything... :P Twice the tix, twice the airfare... luckily no increase in hotel room charges... :P Let me look at it first thing in the morning, and we'll figure something out. I could just as easily buy 3 and you could reimburse me. I just need to check the dates for sure and make absolutely sure we can take off and it won't cost a grand for airfare... haha!

This just kills me.

A few years ago I was touring with a little show and we performed in Vegas but we couldn't find anything worth doing except blowing our money we'd been given for food at one of the many casinos. Another cast (same company different show) went to Reno and went to a concert.

This year I'm back with the company touring again ands I was so excited to see that we were going to Reno this time... and check out what's happening in Vegas! :?
Go figure.

Anyway, have fun guys!

I have a feeling I will, next thing is finding a decent rate on a room, so far they are all around the $189 a night, course I suppose if a guy just stayed at the stripclub all night it would be free!

Here's desperation, but check an outfit called Hotelscorp.com. $100/night at Planet Hollywood but you have to sit through a timeshare presentation. Saves about $500 on 3 nights.

The only interest I have in this show are the you tube clips which will be posted shortly thereafter. Not going to spend any money on this band until I hear samples of Arnel with them first.

Hopefully the band and management are taking a cue from Foreigner and will post 30 second clips of Arnel singing the Perry tunes on their site when it launches in a few days.

I'm glad someone will know what to do down there, because I've never been to Vegas before. And picking up ho's will not be an option for me... :P

Hey, I know Vince Neil lives down there -- maybe we could stay at his place?

I know. I lived there for two years. I'll gamble when I know that, no matter what, I'll enjoy myself whether I win or lose (as in say, Poker!).

On the Generations tour, I felt like I was taken. I was forced to purchase two copies of a CD (built into the ticket prices) and the album sucked. Then I saw a show with a singer who couldn't sing in tune. Sorry, at this point, I need assurances in advance that I'll be happy with what I hear before I give over my money.

Low blow. You're insinuating that JSS couldn't sing in tune. While I wasn't exactly floored by him he DID sing in tune. This is a bullshit, baiting post. :x You KNOW who the fuck was being referred to...Augeri, dumbass.
