It's rumored that the Beatles will announce that their catalogue is finally coming to iTunes, during a commercial during the Super Bowl on February 3rd.
The Toronto Sun reported that "inside sources" have confirmed the announcement, saying that the catalogue will become available online by the end of February. The Beatles' move to the digital realm has been rumored several times in recent years, most notably around the last two Super Bowl telecasts, and at the 2008 MacWorld Convention and Expo held earlier this month.
According to the report, iTunes would have a three month exclusivity before newly remixed and remastered CDs will be released.
Nearly all of the solo Beatles' catalogues have been made available as digital downloads over the past few years. The Beatles' catalogue is one of the last digital holdouts from the rock era.
