In all honesty, I've heard exactly the same thing for years... heard they were (back then, at least) terrible live, with atrocious sound. The last time I saw RATT live was during the '99 tour, right before Stephen left again, and they sounded excellent. It was in a much smaller venue. The Nitronic gig sounded awesome, too.

Yes, dude... Y&T is awesome! Never seen them live before, though.

Looks like they'll be playing here in San Diego with Great White (ALL original members) while they're in SoCal...

RATT- alls I can remember is that I was going through puberty when OUt of the Cellar came out, and my immature, green mind found that album cover quite exciting!

Sean Mc Nabb?? (I think that is how his name is spelled) He has been in the band for a while. He is pretty good and definitely the best looking guy in the band, IMO :D Hopefully, Jack Russel has underwear on these days, cause that just wasn't pretty :shock:

I made a mistake -- yes, he was associated with them for several years, but here is his discography with them:

* Great Zeppelin- A Tribute To Led Zeppelin (1998)
* Can't Get There From Here (1999)
* Latest and Greatest (2000)
* Thank You... Good Night (2002)
* Back To The Rhythm (2007)

They've really had a revolving door of bass players from the beginning, and he replaced Teddy Cook.

Alright...ya got me.

Jack Russell, Mark Kendall, Michael Lardie, Sean McNabb, and Audie Desbrow are NOT the "original lineup." But they are arguably the best (and best known) lineup of the band overall.

With your user name, I never guessed keep track of how many original members a band has would be all that important to you.

Alright, so that was a low blow. Sorry. Molly Hatchet were cool back in their day.

i felt bad about robbin crosby passing.he was the heart of that band in a lot of ways.ratt was pretty smart to quit right after detonator came out in 1990 because grunge was about to hit.ratt and roll 81-91 has some very good stuff its a greatest hits they came out with.good thing they didn't release any thing during throughtout the 90's until the end of the decade.i would've hated for ratt to be alternative.they stayed true to its sound for the most part.i'd love to see them live.......

Ripper, I gotta say...I saw RATT 3 times back in the day, and they were without a doubt one of the worst live bands I saw in that era. One of the last times I caught them was with BON JOVI and Y AND T, and both of those bands were SO much better, it was actually painful for me to stay through the whole show!
Perhaps I just caught them on THREE bad nights, but I doubt it. Now don't get me wrong- I LOVED em on vinyl...I just don't think they could cut it live. Crap, AUTOGRAPH sounded better than they did!

Now Y and T...THERE'S a band for ya!

Agreed. They seemed to think LOUDER was better and unfortunately didn't have the equipment (or didn't set it up right) that could handle the amp load. Didn't make a difference to me, I was so sloshed it was all good. lol The last concert I attended, the sound wasn't an issue (though they did bring things down a few notches - I'm guessing because gramps can't handle the speed and the noise any longer ha), they actually sounded great.[/u]
