Another underlying problem that is beginning to exist is people are increasingly going antibacterial. That's fine, but one day a couple of generations down the road, there will be a general strength bacteria that will kill off a bunch of people. If you choose to live by using antibacterial soaps and such, thinking you're keeping yourself from getting sick, you may be right for now. Your immune system will not have an opportunity to build resistances to anything until it is exposed to it. That's why kids are sicker now than when I was young. All they do is stay inside and play video games or do what I'm doing now. They don't interact with other kids as much and are not exposed to germs that can ultimately lead to a stronger immune system.

Antibiotics are just adding to the problem. Bacteria are growing stronger every year as a result of antibiotics. How? Well let's say you have a bacterial infection and you are prescribed antibiotics. If any bacteria survive at all, it will definitely be the strongest ones. They infect another human and multiply, and what do you have? A harder to kill infection.

Drink tap water and don't overuse antibiotics.

Rick, you are absolutely right. I've been telling people this for years! You should let your natural immune system take care of most things. That's why we have it. There are certain things we need to take antibiotics for but not every time you get the sniffles! These companies that advertise and make antibiotic soaps and handwash are brainwashing people into believing there are germs just waiting to kill you on everything you touch. They have you believing that if you touch your shopping cart you'll get the plague. It's ridiculous and it's actually hurting us, not helping.

About the tap water issue. I do drink bottled/filtered water because our tap water here tastes like shit. If it tasted decent I wouldn't have a problem drinking tap water.

I Agree 100%!!!

In college, we called our tap water "Montreat Milk"... Montreat was the name of the school and milk because the damn stuff was white. Something to do with the pressure of the water table and wells in the mountain (since the place was carved onto the side of a mountain) and it was all air bubbles. Let it sit for a minute and it'd clear up... but it took us a few weeks to figure that out. Great water there too, regardless of the coloring.

Tap water with a filter. Our water smells too much like chlorine, so the filter really helps with that.
