How shocking that he has ZERO bids! He could drop the price by 66% down to a "discount" 1 million, and he still wouldn't get a single bid!

Sure is impressive.

Meanwhile, I believe I have the largest collection in the world of 8-tracks, cassettes, DVD's, VHS', and CD's, between Journey, Night Ranger, and Survivor...it's up to 113 (seriously) and still counting. Haven't thrown a single one away...most are autographed. What a MR geek I am.

Postby epresley » Thu Feb 21, 2008 7:58 am

I knew a guy in Hereford, TX that had a collection of between 30,000-40,000 lps and I thought that was probably some kind of record, but damn, he was a lightweight up against this guy. I'm gonna have to refer to this ebay post every time my wifey is griping at my cd buying!

I had to laugh at this part.

" $3million is a ridiculously low price to start with. The owner of the collection has turned down offers for far more over the years, including an offer of $28 million nine years ago. It's being sold this way now because his life circumstances have changed."

Bet he wishes he could go back 9 yrs and take that 28 mil. (I sincerely doubt thiis even happened)
When in doubt, DUCK!

Here's a link to his website - maybe a little out of date but you can get an idea from here. I've been in the store many times and found lots of Journey things through the years. Pictures don't do the place justice!

The 28 million figure is probably true - the local media said the collection is estimated to be worth as high as 70 to 90 million! Anyway, here's the link and also one to the local Pittsburgh TV station's story.
