The mystery of 248 - a Question for Andrew

Postby *Laura » Fri Feb 22, 2008 12:02 am

I've been meaning to ask about this, but kept forgetting.
At the bottom of the general Forum it says that "Most users ever online was 248 on Sat Dec 10, 2005". :!:

I was wondering WHAT could have possibly bring so many people online at the same time? :o
Can you remember what was that all about,Drew? Some breaking news or something?
By that time I wasn't a member here,so my curiosity is piqued.

The most I've personally seen online here was someting close to 100 during TG I think.

Go back and read the archives regarding whatever was going on that point and you might know.

I went back and looked and the only things I can find a lot of chatter about other than the ordinary BS are the release of the Houston '81 DVD and Steve Perry granting Mitch Lafan an interview.

 Just guessing, but I think the following quote from Andrew at that time might indicate that a lot of what the attraction was has been eliminated.

Ok folks...I did it with my other message board, now it's time to tackle this forum.

From this point onwards there will be NO personal attacks whatsoever and the language here MUST be cleaned up.

If you disagree with someone or chose to post a contrary argument, then do so with respect and think twice before posting.

I'm saying this now before another Perry thread needs closing.

Anyone got a problem with this?

That must be it,thanks Sherrie! :) Mitch's interview was done on December 9,2005 and I think Drew had it up the next day, which takes us to December 10 and the crowded forum.
