They're out there, though. If someone from my past recognizes me here, I am screwed.

The Steve Perry fans on this forum and not the "old timers", they are the people who appreciate the heart and soul of the Journey legacy. Without the Steve Perry years, this forum wouldn't even exist. To say that we are stuck in the past is like saying America is stuck in the past for remembering the U.S. Constitution.
If you watch the videos of Steve Augeri or Arnel Pineda with Journey, what do you see? You see two guys mimicking Steve Perry word-for-word and note-for-note. If you are a fan of that, then you are also stuck in the past right along with us. You just never got a chance to witness the "real deal".

Its time to strike against the oldies on this board who cant let the past go. The ones who are sitting in their arm chairs, smoking a pipe and wacking away to the Departure album saying "those were the days, those were the days, those were the days", over and over again.
So if you're a young Journey fan hop on board and lets start the revolt against the ignorance that is some fans on this board.

This place has just degenerated to a core group of embittered JSS fans.
