rockers or ballads?

Postby mikemarrs » Fri Feb 29, 2008 12:45 am

do you like hard rockers like seperate ways and stone in love or slow stuff like faithfully or open arms.generally that goes for any band.just wondering do you like the rockers or ballads more? i'll listen to something like 'rock you like a hurricane' by the scorpions for instance over say 'love bites' by def leppard.i do like ballads but i'm more into the hard stuff.

i love the ballads, but in moderation, a couple in the set is all i need to hear, unless the band is more ballad oriented like chicago, hated the raised on radio tour, to many ballad/mid tempo songs. the journey show in louisville at the begenning of the vacation over tour was excellent, neal rocked.

When it comes to concerts, I wanna rock. Even great ballads tend to plod live (Love Bites, All The Way for example). I like a healthy mix of both on albums. Live, the only kind of ballads I wanna hear are ones with memorable solos like the ones Neal and Luke put on some of their bands' best albums. Also why I don't like Open Arms at all - not even a good Neal solo on that one.
