This is one of those where the alter ego and the super hero definitely don't mesh. Love that they use Black Sabbath's song in it.

Hope its good throughout.

Want ridiculous? Rent "Hard Candy".

It got great reviews so I rented it based on that. Watched the whole thing. Good acting from Ellen Page but as unbelievable as any superhero movie.

Definitely the case -- I think they got the right man for the job!

Exactly... And notice his drinking at parts of the trailer. In the comics, Tony Stark had a severe battle with alcoholism (every Marvel character has some sort of humanizing flaw, and Stark's had several...). From what I understand, that story won't be fully explored here, but will at least be touched on.

Yeah, Stark also had an artifical heart, so it was very interesting that the man inside the suit was so fragile. He was also a bit of a prick, as I recall...
Looks great to me, Ripper. And what a cast! Downey, Paltrow, Sam Jackson? I'm there opening day!!!

From what I've heard, Sam Jackson also filmed a crossover appearance as Nick Fury in the new "Incredible Hulk" film. This all may be to help set up "The Avengers", which is also in the works.

Yep. That's the buzz. I think Marvel is doing it the right way, by having origin movies, then delving into the "team" film.
Can't WAIT for that film, btw...

It is,they are wanting to do an avengers movie, like Justice League.. Tony Stark is also a big pune hound.. :) If you want to read some good sci fi stuff..Go to http://www.scifi.com/ Iron man looks spectacular, can't wait.. Iron man,Indiana Jones, and Batman the Dark knight.. What's not to love about spring? not to mention next year..Wolverine,Terminator 4,Star Trek,Justice League or Superman The Man of Steel..They will probably screw one or both of the latter up tho..Superman Returns was god aweful! Everyone but Superman was miscast.. And Lois with a bastard kid,c'mon, does everything have to be 2007,2008..Drop the bullshit already and make a real movie. Is Superman going to have homosexual tendencies in the next film?

Being a huge Hulk fan, I can't wait for that movie. Edward Norton is gonna rock as Bruce Banner. I read a quote from Lou Ferrigno (who has a small cameo apperance like he did in the last horrible Hulk movie) about how Norton has a lot of similarities to Bill Bixby. I am really happy they are trying again with the Hulk because that last 2003 movie left a HELL of alot to be desired.
Rock on,
Eric

On top of that, its like they were scared to let Brandon Routh act.. let me cast the next one please? Kate Beckinsale as Lois anyone? Timothy Olyphant as Lex Luthor? Make him the rich Lex with Lexcorp so he can actually have a shot against Superman.. how about if they add a new villain into the mix for once..Say.. Brainiac? Or introduce Doomsday. Seriously, give Superman something to chew on besides planes going down..Try something new besides knocking lois up and making all the single women who don't know what birth control is feel good about themselves..
