Sorry, Larry I looked up Kiss but it looks like a song called Strutter was the first track. Didn't include since that's not the one you mentioned.

I'm talking about the very first track from each of the bands.

Yes, because it was the first song the band ever did.

Well done thread.. I'm glad to see there aren't complete idiots on this board.. Boston wins in a land slide and it isn't even close,as they should.. Too bad Patiently wasn't the 1st Journey song..It was the 1st song SP and NS wrote together.. Tall Stories is in a diff era,so is Guns.. They shouldn't even count..You should have said best 1st song in the 70's.. Or you can add Hardline, lifes a bitch to that one my friend.. Or Soul SirkUs,higher ground..or Bad English, best of what I got.. The list goes on..

Thanks, I only included TS to give SA fans a choice. Guns, SS and BE are in a diff era but Guns and Van Halen made such a bang comin out of the gate that I decided to include them. Also since Neal was in both HL and BE, the votes would be split me thinks.

The others all made a name for themselves as giants in rock so they're obvious choices. The only one I purposely passed over was Bon Jovi's Runaway.
