That was cool to watch...new to me. He didn't even listen to music for 2 yrs! So hard to imagine, but he must've been very affected by the burnout.

Just my insight, my 2 cents on what happened and of course, I could be completely wrong, but...

I don't think it was just the burn out, but rather a combination of burn out and guilt by association. Music is what kept him from his mother's side while she was dying. After she died, the thing he loved became associated with his greatest pain. Don't know that he's really over it either. Not so easy to get past.

Very plausible explanation. If SP knew how hard these loons can be to live with around here, I think he would sacrifice his mental health for the good of the board.

Great interviews, but what the hell's with the hair...??

He mentions "private collections" of music that he sold at his concerts...
Um, anybody ever get those? I've never heard that before.

The 2nd clip was great. He's talking about the group reforming before TBF.

Thanks for linking that.

Of course, the truth is during his solo albums, Perry discovered an equal love and talent for pottery and threw himself into it, leaving music behind. :D

They were two EPs he sold at the shows. I think all of the music from them is on the re-issues now though with the possilbe exception of the clip from the Missing You writing sesssion.
