I am still fuming about those Tahoe ticket prices! Who the hell do they think they are? The highest price for a Van Halen ticket was $150 for Oakland and San Jose. How does Journey think they are going to get that kind of money with their 4th (and completely unknown) lead singer? We saw Matchbox Twenty this month and the highest price ticket was $85.

Fuck them. I'm done. I would rather spend that $400 and get on a plane to go see Lifehouse wherever they happen to be that day and watch an actual performance than watch these old guys going through the motions of playing their greatest hits.

Nah.. it's not too bad. I've paid about that much for other concert tickets.
I'll still go with bells on and will end up paying far more for ILAA. 8)

I agree, Angela. I see these guys a few times a year and the people that congregate to these events make the ticket price worth far more than that. I'll be at no fewer than 8 shows this year.

And Barb, quit your bitching. You're starting to sound like a fucking democrat with all of your bitching and whining!!!  :P  J/K, Barb. Think of it as $70 for Journey, $50 for Heart and $30 for Cheap Trick. Now buck up and quit the complaining.  :P

LOL! It's not the money, it's just the gall they have to ask for so much at this stage of the game. I wouldn't pay anything to see Heart or Cheap Trick, so I guess I'm out for this tour. You're the one who asked if it would deter anyone from going, and I'm here to tell you YES! I have been deterred. :D

That is so cool of you! I may go to the Mt. View show, but save your free ticket for someone who truly is excited to be there -- that's not me. I'd love to meet up with you though and anyone else from here who goes.

$50 for Heart
$1.75 for Cheap Trick

Is $120 some odd dollars too much? I guess it depends on how bad you want to see them. I paid $250.00 a ticket when I was in Japan to get a front row seat right up next to the stage when I went to see Show-Ya in Tokyo. It was very sweet being right in front of the rocking chicks plus when the video came out on DVD I was on it.

So sure I thought it was worth it. Just depends how bad you want to see them though. Not so sure I would spend that much to see Journey because I don't know the band members at all, plus I plan to see Arnel in person after all the dust clears in a few years for free anyways.

I see that Chicago tickets go on sale Saturday from $25.00-$125.00. Up close is too rich for my blood, so I'm hoping the back half of the pavilion is around $50-$60 or so. Too bad when you sit in the back half you have to dodge those support beams and run the risk of having an "obstructed view seat".

Sucks about the support beams as you say. I won't go to a concert if I can't be within a few seats from the stage.

I've been spoiled recently seeing bands from the first five rows for about $40. I guess that's the problem with wanting to see a band that is playing amphitheatres, especially on a package tour. The prices are going to be really high. I think I'll have to settle for back half of the pavilion on this tour.

I checked around here in Chicago recently and the Police want $250 and that includes the floor and the first big tier. I think concerts are just getting higher like everything else.

I paid £37.50 for my seat in the rear stalls for the Glasgow Journey gig over here on 20th June.

That works out at the current conversion rate at $75, so in those terms the pricing for the gigs over in the US are probably about right.

I agree with Barb that the price in Tahoe is too high, but you get what you pay for. This area is lucky to get a show like this, as this venue is WAY too small for a show of this kind and therefore the band has to charge more to recover their costs. In my opinion it is a thrown together shit box. This place only holds about 3,500 people, while most of the venues hold far more than 12,000!

I think the price of gas, especially on the big tours, is drastically going to affect the ticket prices. It's important to remember your are getting three bands on this tour and if you're not into one or more of the bands that can greatly diminish the value.

I think the $100-125 price point will be more common across the country for top ticket.

people wonder why sheds are closing around the country, these shows should be abot 50/60 for standard pavillion seats, look at poison, they tour every other year charge 35.00 and still make good money, i understand the reunion shows being an event and higher priced, but if you tour every couple of years 50.00 a ticket you should still make money
