He's a South basher.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

He's just like a elementary schoolboy with a crush. Teases, makes fun of, professes to despise, all the while knowing that the warm fuzziness in his heart is the secret love his pride won't let him aknowledge. Actually, most men operate this way no matter what age. He hearts the South. That's why he's still there.

I seriously doubt it. I think his hatred is genuine. I also think if he scoured the Boston Globe, he'd find as much stupid shit going on around New England as anywhere else. :D

You're an astute individual, Rick! It is indeed genuine. If you haven't grown up around religious fanaticism, overt racism, confederate flags flying, grits, Jesus plates all over the wall at the DMV, and NASCAR worshipping, it's a bit of a shock to the system

Once again, we agree, 100%! I have NEVER suggested that goofy shit doesn't happen all over the world. Having said that, you're NEVER going to come across ANY state in New England that allows toddlers to be legally married, with parental consent
