In Andrew's interview, Herbie Herbert said Arnel was really good. Isn't that him formatting an opinion on Journey's new lead singer? Ok it's not an annoiting but since HH isn't akin to talking shit about anyone or anything than why didn't he thrash Pineda? IMHO it's because Arnel fits the group in Herbie's eyes and he's cool with the choice.

Read more like faint praise to me.

Herbie doesn't seem to speak in subtleties. When he's really psyched or pissed about something, you usually can tell.
On the topic of the Pineda era, at best he could muster that AP does a "credible job" and that they "are moving in the right direction."

This is the same sort of soft soap heard during the Augeri-era - and we all now know how he really felt about that.
