Yup. That and MOL are the only keepers, IMO.

Dude, "One More" was utterly fantastic. I'm not much of a ballad guy, but I can't get enough of "When You Love a Woman," "Easy To Fall," and "Still She Cries." Neal has beautiful solos all over those songs, some of his best work ever. And how can one forget the trascendental guitar work in "Can't Tame the Lion"?

TBF is also very progressive-leaning at times, right up my alley... Variety of instruments, tempos, song structures, production techniques, unusual subject matter, longer tunes, AND virtuoso performances by everyone in the band, EVEN ROSS!

Neal's playing on TBF was good given the overabundance of cheese-ballads, but the songwriting was mostly uninspired, IMO. "Can't Tame The Lion" had a lot of promise and then a rather unmemorable chorus.

I don't get the "progressive leaning" bit of it...maybe compared to Raised On Radio or Perry's solo albums but not next to the classic LP's. It's just...boring. And waaaaaay too long. I could handle 70 minutes of rockers with a few ballads sprinkled in, but not the other way around.

To answer the original question...No...aside from a few boots that are out there. I'm sure I'll get those in time.

Trial By Fire is great... I love how the whole album sounds so lush. So layered from the guitars to the vocals. I still think Arrival and TBF are two of Journey's finest albums. Still wish they'd do more of the jamming stuff... Nickel and Dime and Topaz are two of the best instrumentals that most people have probably never heard.

As for Journey songs I've never heard, I haven't heard I'm Not That Way or I Can See It In Your Eyes... any idea where I could find those short of purchasing expensive imports for albums I already own?

I Can See It In Your Eyes you can get on the TBF remaster at Best Buy or something. I'm Not That Way...that's a little bit tougher to find as of now. I'll see what I can do.

It is very obscure. Someone was nice enough to send it to me, so I made that video.

Whew, that's a great tune Rick. Neal burns on it. I can see why it was left off the album - the chorus doesn't quite have that "hook," which doesn't bother me, but the song isn't centered around the chorus and that was probably an issue for them. This is the kind of nugget they should have rewarded us with on the 30th anniversary tour.

Good points. It might have rocked up TBF if they had included it, but like you said, for their reasons, whatever they were, it didn't make it.

I like it too.

The only song I haven't heard is I'm Not That Way. If someone has it somewhere that would be cool.

I just went through all of my stuff, and I don't have that one. I'm interested now also.

Here are some rare cuts that I have. There's one mp4 in there, but Windows Media Player or iTunes will play it. Please excuse the sloppiness and disorganization of this archive. There also might be something not so rare in there as well. I haven't gone through these in forever.

Here you go! "I'm Not That Way" in cd quality. The other bonus song on that Japanese release was "Remember me". I never understood why the hell they didn't release that song on the US version! I'll post that one next if anyone's interested.

I would have listed them but I don't know the titles on some of them.

Wow! Thanks! Really different sound, I like it. Wish they would've included it on the U.S. version.

I really like the song on it's own, but they had to drop it and add a couple of rockers for this thing to have a chance here in the U.S. . The album definitely had too many ballads (And this is coming from a keyboardist). Overall, I think it's got a great vibe to it. I'm sure there's more demos lying around somewhere from that album. I'd LOVE to hear some...

I'm Not That Way sounds great... Augeri in particular gives a fantastic performance. Thanks Jim! Remember Me would be cool, I have some really bad 96k mp3 of it on here that sounds like a tin can
