Would love for "Wildest Dream" and "FITH" to have been included, but am doubtful.

Any Way You Want It
Wheel In The Sky
Lights
After All These Years
Never Walk Away
Open Arms
Mother Father
Wildest Dreams
Separate Ways
Faithfully
Don't Stop Believin'
Be Good To Yourself

I'm sorry, but would Queen get away with a note-by-note rerecord of their classics with a sound-alike singer?

Like the new stuff, but the cover album isn't an "honor" it's an insult.

Didn't Queen do this with the Live at the BBC stuff? The cover album... just take it as a bonus. If it was live, I would've appreciated it more. Not that big of a deal. Peeps are making way too much about it.

The "At the BBC" stuff was recorded way back in their early days, right around the release of their debut and there were songs on there that were later released on "Queen II", so it wasn't really like they were just re-releasing their hits as they hadn't had any just yet.

I've listened to the Revelation CD so far, and am currently listening to the remakes.

Funny thing, when I got in my car to drive over to Walmart I turned on the radio and it was in the middle of Journey's Anytime. Then as I was in line at the cash register to pay for Revelation they had a Journey Revelation commercial playing on the TV monitor at the register.

What's everyone think of "Revelation" (those of you who, like me, have heard it).

So far after one listen I would say that my favorite songs are "Never Walk Away" "Change For The Better" "Wildest Dream" "Where Did I Lose Your Love" and "What It Takes To Win."

"Wildest Dream" is probably my very favorite? But I do love the Rockers, so that's a big part of why I love "Wildest Dream" so much.

IMO "Where Did I Lose Your Love" and "What It takes To Win" sound like something Survivor would play, only with Steve Perry's tone on the vocals.

I think overall I still prefer the original Steve Augeri version of "Faith In the Heartland" a little bit better. But I do like some of the guitar and drums that Neal and Deen added to the end of it.

As of the moment I'm in the middle of the remakes CD, I'm on "Who's Crying Now." I do like that they gave "Wheel In The sky" more of the live ending to the song.

Is it me or is Arnel doing the "Separate Ways" screech on a few of these songs? he goes up and then almost out of tune quite a bit. I dont know how to explain it...

I am having a problem getting into Revelations...

Well, I can finally understand the lyrics to Be Good To Yourself.

Never Walk Away sounds alot like JSS' "Believe In Me".

Overall, I think the album is better than I expected, and for $12, you can't complain.

And watching the DVD, Arnel's stage presence kicks the crap out of both Steves.

Sorry, but I don't worship at the Steve Perry altar. And that is my opinion.

Hey, regardless of what goes through their heads, I just call them like I see them.

Oh, and if speculation is correct :::eh, hem:::, is the original vocalist getting paid for his re-appearance (so to speak) on FITH???

Debbie

Debbie, I believe he will get paid. He does has a co-writing credit on FITHL, correct?

I think he or she is implying they improperly used Augeri's VOICE somewhere in the song, too, which I doubt.

Um, she.

And, I wasn't the one to bring it up. Check here: http://forums.melodicrock.com/phpBB/vie ... hp?t=35049

Yes, Augeri is in the mix there. Absolutely. Almost in 1:1 harmony with Arnel on the chorus. It's ridiculous.

At least he's getting paid. I hope. If you're gonna fuck someone and leave 'em high and dry, at least leave some cash on the dresser.

wow i really did not want to like the cd at all, When Jeff was "let go" i was like thats it screw you guys. I though well i still liek Deam, his drumming rocks, so i listed to the samples and i was hooked Arnel pulled me right in. I love Arrival, and this one is right up there with it. I think the re- recording is good also, pluss it gives people a chance to hear whats hes al about as well, and its better that jus another greatest hits record with a new track or two, plus i played it for some of my co workers, and the said now they sound like Journey again. I miss Steve A and Jeff, but i guess i ended up eating a big plate of Revelation crow! Great cd,i dont have a favorite song yet although i have always love FITH the orgional version alot, and the Live version with Jeff was asome as well, but i think i like this version more, and i thik is cool that the band liked the song to try and make it better. Plus if nothing eles its a great tip of the hat to Steve A. Great record, now im gonna go put the DVD in.

after listening to this cd twice. I have to say I think the best tracks are "where did I lose your love" & "What I Needed".

these sound like classic Journey!!!!

I thought NWA, WD, AATY were the ones that were gonna be classic and great. when I first heard them I thought those would be the standouts. they are great but WDILYL & WIN are the standouts to me, just great!!!!

CFTB is also really good.

All I'm hearing is an overlaying of Arnel's vox on certain spots, as well as Cain doing the lower harmony (as he did on the original).
I find it hard to believe that Shirley would re-use any elements from Generations.
