Turn down the volume tonight. I don't like the song.

There are two songs on the new album I feel are not that good at all. Arnel doesn't do ballads all that well, his voice is not suited for that style in my opinion and it sounds annoying and both songs are frustrating. Both of these tunes could of been Country songs.

1. After All These Years. (The cheesy Piano, so predictable and you can just tell it's written to be a hit, and see straight through the bands agenda with this one, as bad as "All The Way").
2. Turn Down The World Tonight. (A country song gone horribly wrong).

There! I have spoken, those are my thoughts. But the rest of the Album is awesome! the ballads are just crap. And it really proves there is still only one man that could pull a Journey Ballad off and not sounding like a girl or a wuss at the same time, and that is the one and only "Steve Perry" - just simply the best all round singer this band ever had, he could do it all.

...when the loneliness becomes too much to bear
get off this merry go round,
tell each other we still care.

ch: help me turn down the world tonight,
take a quiet moment, somewhere we can unwind.
losing touch, we forget to take time
to share what's in our hearts, speak what's on our mind.

in the silence hear your heartbeat next to mine, baby help me...
turn down the world tonight...

killer lyrics right there. how can you not love that song? :?

I just want to know who's singing the atmospheric harmonies. Is that Arnel doing his own or Deen?

I love this song. I can't believe how it actually hits home for me.

Many of the songs seem to hit home for me.

You can tell they have experienced trials in relationships and are married and having raised children. Some things in the songs you'd almost have to be parent to totally appreciate.

They are kind of more mature love songs...instead of the break up songs or the first love songs.
