Gambo's just played After all these....followed by DSB (Perry Version) on his Saturday chart show over here in the UK. You can hear his comments on play the show again (need real player, I think!)

So great to see them having success in the UK. When I first came over to the UK from Minnesota people used to say to me Journey "who??"- sometimes remembering the song Open Arms , but little else.

Now Journey's in Classic rock, on Planet rock and the Beeb, and prominent in HMV and Virgin Megastore.

Heck these days when I walk down the street in my Journey T-shirt, women stop and look with wonder :!: (of course they are thinking "how can a fat ugly fuck like that wear such a cool shirt? " but I'll just leave that out of the story :D )

I have a problem with HMV, okay they'll stock a few Journey albums but as with Styx when they toured and released a new album, 2 copies per shop, I got talkin' to the manager of our local store, they replenise (I've spelt that wrong) when the CD gets replaced, but how the fuck can a band hope to set the world on fire when stores only stock 2 -4 cd's. As for the Virgin store in our city, Oh Journey, you must mean Greatest hits, we can order that and you'll have it in 4 days

And here's another thing, a signed CD for £25, so that's £13 over the normal rate to get a cover vandalised by band members, told to sign prior to the concert, what's that all about  Sign the fuckin copy prior to release like they do in Borders with books, make it part of the artwork.

He plays a lotta good stuff - but Journey on radio 2 seems surreal and yet great....

He played a lot of Journey in the 80's, the man's a wealth of musical Knowledge, enough to remember to tell the editing crew to get Perry's version of DSB on, could have been lazy and just picked up disc 2 but he's a clever guy

I agree about HMV, bought my copy of Revelation in Liverpool. There was only one copy left after chatting with the manager they had 5 copies delivered to the store that day, he was absolutely amazed they had all been sold as he didn't think any would go!!!!! I advised him to get some more in quick!

Must be an unlucky quirk of the HMV system down there or just ignorant store managers.

I bought my copy in HMV's Argyle Street branch in Glasgow and they had literally about 50 copies out on display at both the Journey section in the A-Z and in the HMV Chart section, Zavvi (Virgin) next door also had numerous copies.

Maybe Scotland got all the English copies as well
