I don't think the person who posted these got authorization from the people in the pics. Posting pics of Arnel is fair game
but his family are not public figures and they should be off limits.
I mean let's face it, kidnap for ransom is not exactly a rare occurence in the old country.
Posting the pictures of the wife and kid needlessly increased the risk they face.
E.. Si Che nama n 'ata mismo ang nag-post ng pics, so okay lang.
(Errrm... Looks like it was Cherry herself who posted the pics, so it's cool)
Two coments of my own...
1. There are different customs/standards on personal privacy in different parts of the world.
The casual ease with which folks here can walk up to Arnel and vice versa might clue folks in
on that.
2. Kidnappings are indeed part of living here, but so is watching your friend's back.
Arnel hasn't forotten his roots, and frankly, many of his neighbors and old friends are
folks no one would want to piss off. That no one in the Philippines could see an upside to harming
Arnel's family ....might clue the hoity-toities who DO get targetted for kidnapping, in to the value
of staying grounded, and living not as a walled-off elite, but as humble members of a community,
regardless of how much money they have.

Definitely off it now...
