The first amendment gives you a right the government cannot take away, but don't think you can go into a private forum or chat and say anything you like because the first amendment doesn't apply there.

Always thought that the First Amendment gives you the right to say anything without prosecution. However, persecution is an entirely different animal. In other words, don't come into my house and run your mouth (or your keyboard), then I have to right to make you to go away.
