I never knew much about them, but they played here last night and a co-worker gave me a listen to their brand new album -- VERY GOOD STUFF! Highly recommended. He also went to the show and said they kicked A!

Get a listen here: http://www.candleboxrocks.com/

Note the "Immigrant Song"-style wails at the beginning. I'm about to start spinning this disc in my auto.

Their debut CD is still a classic and I understand the new one is somewhat a return to form. Maybe I will listen to it tonight.

I saw the band once opening for Suicidal Tendencies and Metallica. Good show but thought for sure that the lead singer was going to have an anuerism (sp?). He pushes it so hard and all these veins stick out on his neck and forehead.
