Had to sell my Journey tickets.

Postby cinkidd » Tue Aug 19, 2008 2:00 pm

Man was I stoked to buy my Journey tickets this year. I did not get a chance to see them at all two years ago and of course no tour last year, so this was going to add another chance to see them live and with Arnel who I think is a fantastic singer. So I hit EBay right after they came out so I could get a good seat at the Cincinnati Riverbend show on 9-7-08.

Well, wouldn’t you know it, life jumped up and bit me on the ass. My wife lost her job of 28yrs and she took a consultant job in Erie, PA. There is no way my wife can take off work since she has not been with the company long enough. So today, reluctantly I sold our second row, almost center (off to the left when looking at the stage) stage tickets for a loss even. Oh well, life really can throw a curveball at you.

I tried to talk my wife into trying for tickets to the Cleveland 9-6-08 show and that was a no go. So here I sit and sulk and just thought I’d pass along good wishes to all of you who get to go to either or those lucky enough get to go to both shows.

Ouch! So sorry to hear that Rich. Life can bite you in the ass, I know that for a fact. We've been going through some rough times lately, but we're making it. Keep your chin up and maybe an opportunity down the road will surface and you can go see a show. It's certainly worth going.

Rick the I'm sorry I don't have a better tag line guy.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I'm sorrier for you that you have to move to Erie ;) Just kidding. I lived there most of the first 21 years of my life and I visit occassionally. Not the worst place in the world to live, but be prepared for very long snowy winters thanks to the lake :)
