Anyone heard and/or like this band?

I'm seeing them in a few hours - can't wait - great music for a festival on a hot summer night. Also on the bill tonight - big Brother & the Holding Company  (minus Janis, of course) and the fabulous David Wilcox http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbTS7jS4 ... re=related

Interesting lineup. SNZ were a punk-swing band like the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, if I recall correctly.

I think they refer to their style as '30's punk, or gypsy punk, or something like that - definitely swing with an edge. They were awesome.

The girl who sang with Big Brother and the Holding Co. - awesome as well. Cathy Richardson is her name, I think? - she's on YouTube somewhere but much better live. Absolutely channelled Janis.

Best part, however was the Sunday night closing act - The Neville Brothers. Never really appreciated them but now I'm all over it - what an amazingly talented group of musicians. I believe I even had tears in my eyes during Aaron's rendition of Amazing Grace

This is a weekend Roots and Blues festival we have here every summer - very eclectic group of entertainers and something for everyone.
