Interesting bump-up in the last set ..... Last week the final increase was 2,477 albums -- this time it was 3,491.

It'll also be interesting to see how album sales go in the next 2-3 weeks. Lots of big venues, in the 20-30,000-seat range.

what I find really interesting is the proximity of the Journey sales to other acts that are perceived to be more popular - John Mayer, Jack Johnson, 3 doors down, etc. Seems this CD has real staying power.

What are the total units shifted to date?

I'm guessing it's somewhere between 700,000 and 800,000.

So far, 794,758, and that undercounts it by some thousands .....

Divide by 2......really.

There are two CD's in the package that each qualify as a full CD. They're not counting packages sold, they're counting discs, which they've sold nearly 800,000 of. They don't even get credit whatsoever for the DVD.

Yeah, but the price tag is the same as single disc releases by the other artists on the chart. Let's be realistic... around 400k units have been rung up at the cash register at a price that is equal to a standard single disc release. If it makes you feel better to double or triple the number, have at it. Perception is reality!

I searched the RIAA database which only showed Gold status and better. It showed Trial By Fire achieving Gold and Platinum on the same day, but it didn't have any data on Arrival.

thanks rick for checking on that.my guess would be that arrival has probably sold around 400,000 copies to date if i had to guess.maybe with the resurgance they are going through it might push the sales up a bit on all the earlier stuff besides revelation.
