"Late Nite" is good but I much prefer "Beyond the Thunder".

Beyond the Thunder rocks. Big Moon and Send Me An Angel are two of Neal's finest moments, ever.

BTW, anyone know if Neal's using a Roland pick-up when the solo kicks in on Send Me An Angel?

magnificent. thanks. 8)

I fix this dilemma, Bonnie and Dave.

BTT is my favorite NS instrumental album and LN is my 2nd favorite NS vocal album, Piranha Blues being my fav vocal.

:D we can have 2 favorites this way!

 Good try, Deb; but I'm sticking to BTT...and you should too. heehee

Have not been able to find the mag today, but did have dinner tonight with a friend who subcribes to it who brought it with him to dinner. And let me tell you, Neal is not only on the cover but he's all through that magazine! It's amazing!

I would take a guess that 1/3 of the adds have his pic on them. They know how to sell their shutt. (how did you like that Deb? )

Oh, and there is one full page pic of Neal on stage that just blew my socks off! Can you say HOT!?

hehe! bonn, you crack me up.

nope nope and nope. my rank order stands. PB, Late nite/Beyond The Thunder!!!! it is just one long album now cuz I can't pick the better one!!! Voice is ok just to hear Neal play but I don't like most of those songs so it is not my fav just because of that. I on U is a keeper--smoothly sensual. Electric World is a marathon of fabulousness--there is so much that one can never tire of it. it is amazing just to think that he had that many melodies to spit out! how many more melodies are in that curly head? !!!!!!! where's our new cd anyway?? jus sayin...he's been busy... just a little busy. :P

since you brought the schutt to this topic, I think Gary's ad is in there too somewhere. someone look please? I have to drive a long way to pick up the mag so I can't get it today. I assume that it will look like the Loss4Words banner from the MR front page but I dunno. It would be soooooooo cool if they are both in the same edition!!

And I disagree about the dowload. i think it is amazing. screw song form or harmonic formula--just bring the shred. 8)

(p.s. I'll post vids from Gary's show downstairs later if anyone is interested)

In addition to being on the cover with a feature interview, he is also prominently featured in no less than 5 product advertisements! This alone is proof that Journey is back in the main stream consciousness. (sp?) Thanks Arnel 8)

Okay, everyone, here's my question. I only own two Neal Schon solo albums, Beyond The Thunder and Voice. What should be my next one or next two? I see people are saying different favorites. Late Nite was mentioned to me. Thanks ahead of time.

Piranha Blues. then Late Nite. I on U. Electric World. in no particular order cuz they are all different kinds of stuff--so it depends on what you like.

just get them. I on U is the latest so maybe start there. it's instrumental, prolly classified as new age but it is more like soft soft jazz, I think. Electric World has a lot of influences and is 2 cds so it is worth your money. It is truly new age. Piranha Blues is rawchy blues at it's finest--where Neal lives. IMHO. and Late Nite is 80ish and has one of the best power ballads of all time-Softly. Neal is on vocals on about half the songs and Sheryl Crow sings backup on Smoke of the Revolution.

ok--yeah--Late Nite next. I talked myself into it!!! 8)
