His “look” and voice captured my heart immediately. Set out to research his and their history. Thank god for the internet and fan sites. First thing I purchased of theirs was the GH dvd. Watched it every night for 1 month straight -- SP’s singing and charisma got me hook-line-sinker. Proceeded to collect their and his entire cd & dvd catalog, plus all the boots and taped shows I could get my hands on. Their whole story unfolded in front of my eyes like a soap opera.

I do know a lot about them – only what is out there – by no means do I mean their personal/private lives. I lead a fulfilling, busy life of my own -- what with a business to run, hubby as a professor at the state university, and 3 fast-growing boys. So, no, I am not an obsessive fan or stalker. Just enjoy talk about them (mostly SP).

I just love your story, Annie...it just goes to show the powerful effect an artist has even many years after their prime. Heck, I'll admit I like knowing about a lot of stuff on someone I admire...never prying, but I am just curious. The weird thing is that when I fell for SP's voice/music/charisma in 1978 I didn't know ANYTHING about him other than his name & being from San Francisco (well, the band was)...it wasn't until 2004 that I searched him out on the Internet and wanted to read everything about him and who he was. I was pleasantly surprised. :) He was even better than I had hoped he might be. I like being one of his biggest fans. :)

Hi, Tammy. I know your story, too. We found and joined PV about the same time. Steve Perry ..... for-evah!
