Correction: Cain was never the "chief song writer" and the only "biggest hit" he penned by HIMSELF was Faithfully. I know he loves to take credit for it all, but his overinflated opinion of himself doesn't make it true.

Cain wrote the majority of the lyrics in the hits. Perry and Schon added bits and pieces. Perry's main contribution was beautiful melodies, but those melodies were only great because Schon was able to interpret Perry's intentions and bring it to life in the form of music. The Perry-Schon duo, and their ability to compliment each other, is the greatest of all-time.

For the most part:
Cain=lyrics to songs
Perry=voice to those songs
Schon=life to those songs

Nope, SJ. I gotta go now, but I can tell you that there are YEARS of articles and interviews during that era that I've read that tell the background on nearly every song. Their most played song DSB is a Cain/Perry lyrical collaboration, as well as musical. Actually, Schon and Perry penned some of their best tunes, IMO. You don't think Schon wrote the words, do you? :shock: :lol: More later, when I can return.

I'd be quick to say yes, but Schon is already channeling an old school Infinity vibe on both "Sunshower" and "What I Needed."
Would like more of this.

I love that Infinity vibe on Like A Sunshower. It kind of sounds like southern rock '70s music. Now, how did Arnel pull that off? But his voice has that sound on that song to me.

Damn if he didn't steal Augeri's vocals for the intro though. I think most of us had a quick double listen on that one.

Yep, Christopher Reeves never got the props but in my opinion was actually a very good actor, way beyond what people saw in Superman.

I loved Deathtrap also.

You really don't think Rolie joining would improve their current sound?

The extra vocals opens up possibilities especially in touring the old stuff. I can't see how it would lessen their creativity at all.

I love Kevin and Hugo's music. Unfortunately they can no longer match Pineda's range.

Revs was rushed so Pineda is really untapped in what they can possibly do. Amazing the luck they had in finding him.

I would just love to see Rolie welcomed back in and they write an album that blows our socks off.
