I know Journey's catalog has one of the most difficult songs that only fit for AP' s voice as far as i know but i think this kid can go far if someone takes care of his career in the future.

Yeah, Jana, he's got a hair to be a Rockstar but i hope his voice will not change when he reach the age of puberty, There's another little kid from PI w/ a voice like Michael Buble or Frank Sinatra. a filipino - british who live in the UK but visited the Philippines from time to time. If tthese young kids never change their voice even when they reach the age of puberty, both Charlie and Philip will go that far in their singing career. Charlie Green just joined the "BRITAIN GOT TALENT " show in UK .

I've seen singers in the Philippines that would blow Arnel away and guess what? They're still singing in the same clubs 20 years later. These were club singers in Angeles City when I was there 20 years ago. Some of them got work visa's to perform in Japan, but for the most part they're still stuck in the same place going nowhere fast .People living in poverty can develop incredible talents. These Guys could sing anything from Journey to the Platters to Zeppelin and Chicago. They were singing to survive to put food on the table. I've watched 18 year old girls beat 60 year chess masters in the clubs, play two games of connect four at the same time while carrying on a conversation with a third person and WIN. Shoot pool as well as any sharks I've seen on ESPN. We used to sit there and say the same things like "wow if you went to the states you'd be great and famous and yada yada yada". But in a country were a woman with a bachelor degree can be yours for the night for 8 dollars because she can't get a job at McDonalds because they're only hiring people with master degrees to work there, what chance do these people have? So much is about luck and chance along with the talent. The same in Thailand, Mexico, Panama and other places I've been. I know I'm being a killjoy but i'm just saying that talent alone isn't enough when you have to come from such a disadvantaged beginning. Heaven knows there are some great entertainers out there that just can't get discovered.
Maybe this will help people understand what Arnel is talking about when he say's it's a job he is doing for his family.

I was dead serious, That's why I was not so surprised that Arnel was Filipino, As a formal American Colony, English is pretty much a mandatory over there especially when I was there and the U.S. Government was the second largest employer in the country. I would have been totally shocked if Arnel had been from an Affluent family in Makati or Green Hills. As soon as the announcement was made, I already had an idea of his backround which proved to be pretty accurate. Now i'm saying these guy's could sing like Perry but like Arnel, they were imitating him. There are a lot of Filipino singers who can hit the high notes like Steve, it's just that they are a stuck in the 70's over there with all their ballads. Here is an example.

Thank's GB, if there's one thing i learned to admired and respect w/ are those OFW's around the world, not that bcoz i am one of them but for sacrificing their life for their unconditional love and sacrifices to give a better future for their family.

I agree with GB, and this is nothing against AP, in fact he'll be the first one to tell you that. I grew up in Olongapo and hang out with a bunch of cover bands, (i might have ran into Sushi Hunter and not know it...), and they were really good at what they do. AP is one of them. One name that comes to mind is Joseph Cipcon (?) who passed away during his prime. That guy can cover anything from Geddy Lee to Ozzy, etc., just like AP. That is why Noel Gomez is one of the best things that happened to Neal and Arnel, in this situation.
