I'll watch it later, going to lunch!!! Just wanted to say HI, Audrey!!!
Gunbot wrote:Is Menudo still hiring? I hope people are not pining away for a chance to be the next Arnel. Pineda got a one in a million opportunity with Journey. Journey has more ballads than usual for Rock Groups which fell into Arnel's strength as a singer.

This kid will probably be the next singer for Journey.
StoneCold wrote:GB / any links to the singers you mentioned or you saw them live?
Jana wrote:Wow, Audrey, that boy is an old soul singing that style music at that age, but he's great.
StoneCold wrote:When you say you've seen singers there that would blow Arnel away. You're serious right?
That would put them in Perry's league.

Um, I don't think so. I don't care who mentors him, this kid has a better chance of singing for his supper at Jollibee rather than getting a gig with an American rock band. Arnel was a benefactor of unusual circumstances culminating in him getting the job. You can't be groomed by someone to become part of a rock band. This aint the Backstreetboys we're talking about. I've seen singers in the Philippines that would blow Arnel away and guess what? They're still singing in the same clubs 20 years later. It's more about opportunity which only comes once in a lifetime, than just stand alone talent.

But there's no harm in dreaming right? That's why Fililpinos labelled as a "SURVIVOR" they used to lead a hard life in order to survived and for me if you'ved got something special like talent or skilled to show to the world, why not? Anyway, nobody knows what's in store for us in the future, you're right oppurtunities comes one in a million but it's better to dream than to stay in one corner and do nothing.

Of course not, but the road is hard so I'm just explaining that. I think people in the states appreciate Arnel more because of the adversity he faced. Some people think it's overblown but I'm pointing out that it's a daily part of life for many people over there. I have tons of respect for you girl if your working far from home in a foreign country. I mean that sincerely Audrey.

I'ved been there before GB and when i got an oppurtunity i embraced it as if my life was depended on it coz i know how hard life is in the Phils, the competition was very huge, even you got a bachelors degree or your a board passer w/ flying colors, you cannot find a decent job that suit your high education that's why, what i am trying to emphasized here is that no matter how difficult you struggle in life, one must not lose hope. Thank's GB, if there's one thing i learned to admired and respect w/ are those OFW's around the world, not that bcoz i am one of them but for sacrificing their life for their unconditional love and sacrifices to give a better future for their family.

I know Journey's catalog has one of the most difficult songs that only fit for AP' s voice as far as i know but i think this kid can go far if someone takes care of his career in the future.

Umm...the kid bagged the grand prize so something's in store for him in no time...Pinoy Dream Academy is a collaboration between ABS-CBN (The Filipino Channel, etc.) and Endemol (Big Brother, Deal or No Deal, Fear Factor, etc.)
