If I did not see this, I would've NEVER KNOWN he'd be at a VERY small venue here in Manchester, CT!

I bought Mark tickets to this show; his Birthday was the Sunday before ~ Rocktober 12th  ~ and we saw Steve's show last night.
Oh my GOD .....he was EVEN BETTER than when we saw him at the "Modern Drummer" thing 2 years ago....so relaxed and FUNNY!

AND, on top of that, I got to MEET him.....
He said, "Hi; nice to meet you" - smiled and shook my hand.

I TRIED to be cool about it, but looked like this:

The whole freakin' time!! LOL

He looked at me with a "you OK?" look.....GOD I'm such a DORK!!! ............

Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH for ALL of the "heads up" that goes on here.....that's really what I'm trying to say.

This site ROCKS! 8) \~/

you're welcome.

but if you didn't say ohmygoshyouresohotiloveyou while drooling and crying, you can't be in the imadork club.

I looked at the guy at NAMM when he said, that's Ansley Dunbar. (i'm frozen. ) would you like to meet him? (still frozen.) how about a pic? (piddle.) I said something dorky to AD 'like the 1st 3 Journey cds were the best' and he looks at me like, my gosh you ARE a dork.' and said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BACK TO ME.

sigh..........

Well, funny you should mention "run-on" sentences.... 8)

I didn't say anything like that, but this is another thing that happened...I just remembered:

Apparently, Mark's met him like 3 times before....he was talking to him, and I was one "giant-step" behind, to Mark's right....
I was trying to be respectful, like: "This guy MUST be exhausted...I don't want to bother him..." etc.

So THEN, Mark said: "Oh, and this is my Wife, Nora....she's a Singer and in my Band..."

(that's when I shook his hand).

RIGHT AFTER he said that, Mark tried to do a TRADE with STEVE FREAKIN' SMITH - HIS CD for OURS!!

Believe you ME....I was MORTIFIED!!!

So, I tried to make it better.... .....and said the following:

"Ihadnothingtodowiththis;seriouslythisisallMark'sidea!!"

THANK GOD Steve found that funny.....I wanted to DIE!

I did too. The WHOLE time. He tears that shit UP, doesn't he?!!

I didn't get the info from here though... I've been checking up on his website because I got sick and missed the Vital Info shows he did here in April '07, so I periodically looked up his schedule to see when he'd be back. But I think (I think?) I read about the Gregg Rolie Band shows here... and for sure I found out about JTTC here... Gotta love this place. :D

Too funny, Nora...you & you're husband's remark. Met SS once after a VI show and he was friendly, chatting..I think I said something about his upcoming tour to Russia & that I had been there...not like I have any music to talk about. lol. Loved his show, 'tho.
