You know Journey is classic when...

Postby ttango1 » Mon Nov 03, 2008 4:14 pm

Who's Crying Now is the end song for an episode of Cold Case.
That happened tonight. Of course, the era for this one was 1981. It started with Billy Squier's "Stroke", Devo's "Whip It", Blue Oyster Cult's "I'm Burning For You", Pretender's "Brass In Pocket", Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust", To Journey.

I blame Sean Elliott

He should've been a Clipper but the Clippers stupidly chose Danny Ferry with pick #2. So Sean became a Spur with pick #3 and I've followed him ever since.

This has to be the 3rd or 4th appearance of a Journey song on Cold Case. I ought to start watching it more regularly!

it's always been SPURS. you just noticed? i always throw stuff during the season and claim GO SPURS GO. i threw a soap box at the trash can last night--it bounced off the cabinet, hit the counter and then rolled into the can. go spurs go. 8)

pardon the hijack.

speaking of hearing Journey out and about--Linda and I were at the after party in Nottingham and DSB spontaneously breaks out in a group of partying rockers across the room. I think it was DSB. but then they sang another so I was not dreaming. i actually caught it on my camera. everyone loves Journey.

Sounds like MTV's first year of videos (except that gay shit from Queen).

Been wondering something for awhile... how come there's a thread every time a Journey song pops up somewhere?

Maybe I'm just a curmudgeon but seriously... we all have the CDs... what's the big deal about a 10 second blip on a TV or a song playing in a gas station, or where ever?

I'm not being a wiseass... I'm honestly curious to why everyone does that.

Well, if it's a retread that's playing, this kind of informative thread will let us know which business or product to boycott or burn in effigy.

And I don't remember asking you a damn thing. Shup.

Lingering in the am/pm to hear "Frigfully" ring a bell??
No, you don't get on MR with it, but I specifically recall saying, "You have it on CD!" :D
