The 2012 US Presidental Election Thread

Postby Tito » Thu Nov 06, 2008 2:12 am

I can't believe the Republicans nominated this guy. The only guy who couldn't win. Barack is a slick motherf-cker and a lucky bastard. The economy has finally come back but he had nothing to do with it. If anything, he delayed the recovery yet he is getting all the credit for it. The demographic change along with his foot soliders who got the vote out again, slaughtered the idiot the Republicans nominated.

That's my prediction for 4 years from now.

Oh good fucking lord, tito. The new president hasn't even been sworn in yet, and you're wanting to talk about 2012. Let the guy fuck up a few times before we start talking about replacing him....

Plus, you need to go back to sucking off Cain and not talking about politics....

Did your mother throw you up in the air as a baby and forget to catch you? "The economy has finally come back" and Obama "delayed the recovery". What the fuck are you talking about. They must have decriminalized marijuana in Illinois yesterday, like they did in Massachusetts! You really need to get the hell out from underneath that rock! I have worked in the financial services industry for many years, and if you truly believe that "the ecomomy has finally come back", you're a bigger moron than I've accused you of being!

I believe he genuinely wants to finish at least one term as Governor here in Louisiana, and try to make a positive change. He is a politician, but also a very decent and intelligent person. I know - those words don't often show up together in the same sentence...

Also, the Republicans lost a few of the seats they regained two years ago (2010).

I got the intent of your thread and I'm a frickin idiot.

The Republicans retain the majority in one house and narrow the gap in the other.

The next election Australia has, I'm gong to be SOOOOOOOOOO tempted to start a vitriolic list, shouting about every candidate, their policies and non-policies, quoting truth as lies and vice versa, being provocative, taking offence at innocuous statements, reacting rather than reading and absolutely refusing to consider a differing opinion, having already made my mind up. And even if I have to argue with myself, I'll make 70 or so posts to it a day just to keep it at the top of the board. I'll let it bleed into a dozen different threads too, for weeks on end...

Seriously guys, I get that it's something you are all passionate about, with reason, (and no, I haven't been reading the election thread because I'm really not that interested) but - we're not all Americans here; can we take a break for a little while now?

Damn it - Steve Perry, if you're ever going to release a new album, PLEASE do it now! ANYTHING to get these guys off politics!!!!!

Or maybe I should just arrange to have Jon Cain bumped off - then we can have all the arguments about whether or not he was the greatest keyboardist / composer / songwriter / human being of our time, should they bring back Rolie, who else could replace him, was SMF'P really to blame, was stevew2's sentance for crossing out 'Cain' and spray painting 'Friga' on his tombstone appropriate, who ate the last of the chocolate... no wait, that last one I know the answer to
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!
