That's because you have taste.

Alternatively, you just say you like the songs you know make a bunch of women melt at the knees as part of your mission to flirt with every female Journey fan on the planet
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

I agree. There is just something about that song. It represents everything I liked about Journey. Excellent musicianship, great vocal harmonies, and pure passion. The emotion that song provokes is what Journey is all about. It brings back the feel of the "Infinity" days.

Fucking classic.

It would be so cool to see Perry on stage with these guys again. It would be fucking magic... mainly because it will probably never happen again.

I would guess this song would be voted the best Journey song of all time. It's had more YouTube views than any other.

I would think so. When I saw the video on MTV, (which Sony lifted from the Tokyo show two weeks prior) I was hooked.

Just love Still They Ride and After The Fall for pure vocal ear candy. Nobody can emote those songs and sustain those notes quite like Perry.

Watch Steve and Neal starting at 1:48. That is the magic that made this band.

I think of that as Arnel's song now after seeing the emotion he poured into it, live at the Greek. If Perry ever sings it live, I'll re-evaluate my position on it.

That's the problem with Perry not performing anymore. We'll never what was real and what was magic on TBF.

I guess we will just have to wait and see. Personally, I give him the benifit of the doubt. The man has always had a beautiful voice. Lora, Cyndy, and Randy Jackson have heard him, all proclaim his voice to be beautiful still. I trust Lora and Cyndy. They have always been there for the Journey Force fans for years. I think they are close enough to know. I really hope some day I can hear it again! :D

Of course they would, they're his friends. It doesn't matter, that album was 12 years ago. I don't want to tarnish my memories of the shows I saw in 81 and 83.

I agree. I am confident we will see new Perry material by early 2009. I wasn't sure this would ever happen... but it seems there is hope.

I personally don't think we have heard the last of him. And I believe he still has a great deal to show us. I am waiting, and I will buy his first release, and if he does any shows, I will do my best to go. One thing he has always been beholding to his fans is their undying faithfullness. I think some will never give up on him. I for one have not. :D

After seeing the recent boots of Lou Gramm, I really have second thoughts about a 60 year old singer trying to make a comeback. If he can, all the power to him.

Steve seems to be very much in control of his legacy. I think we should know by now that Perry is a perfectionist. You can bet that if he releases something this late in his career, it is going to be something really smooth that will will only solidify his status as The Voice of Melodic Rock.
