Extended WITS "Demo"

Postby Scotticus83 » Wed Nov 19, 2008 12:19 pm

I remember seeing somewhere on here awhile back that someone had an mp3 of the WITS "Demo" with the extended intro, and the song basically in a free-form or jam-form. If that is still available around here somewhere, throw me a PM. Thanks again.
Hanson Brothers: Hey Coach!
Coach Dunlop: What are you boys doing?
Hanson Brothers: Putting on the foil; before every game; yeah, you want some?
Coach Dunlop: No.

I'm guessing it was the one from the 11/78 KBFH SuperJam II radio show. Awesome stuff there!

Any chance I can get that too, please? I have the version off the Infinity Demos, but I'm not sure I've heard this one. Thanks in advance!

I don't know...the version off the Infinity Demos holds pretty true to the version that ended up on Infinity. No "free-form" or "jam-form." I'm just curious.

Well I'm not exactly sure which he meant...but since he said demo I sent the Infinity demo...

but with the extended intro and jamming reference I then thought maybe this ...a live radio recording from the Skylyte Valley concert...

I'm not sure if either one is what he's looking for but I'll look through others I have if not.

There are only a few studio versions of WITS out there -

Fleischman demo '77
Infinity album version
KBFH - Super Jam II '78 (Steve Smith's first performance with Journey)

They were using the extended intro in concert towards the later part of '78.
