Losing Tom Brady, Lawrence Maroney and Rodney Harrison would devastate any other team, but it just made the Pats an 11-5 team. Remarkable. Think of the Colts without Manning, James and Bob Sanders or the Chargers without Rivers and Tomlinson...hell, the Chargers are average with them.
The Colts were with a 50% manning and lost Sanders for awhile plus their tight end and Harrison was gone for a few weeks..remember they were 1-3 I think...
RickAnd he didn't get the main reps in pre-season either. He was literally handed the job in the opening minutes of game 1. belichick and his staff did a remarkable job of turning him into a very good QB. Dude might be a stud elsewhere. And even though Manning was hurt, he's still Peyton Manning and the team feeds off of his experience.
right... Packers were 11-5 or 10-6 one year and did not get in...but then some years there 9-7 and win the division... crazy league.. but I love it better
than the NBA where 20 bad teams get in...and I hate the baseball wild card stuff..
