How Much Money

How much more money would some great bands like the Beatles would make today if they had held onto all of the rights to their music, etc.? I know that I see old TV stars whose shows run constantly in syndication, like Gilligan's Island, Bewitched, etc. who get nothing now because they didn't have contracts that paid them beyond the original shows. Comparing that to Seinfeld, etc. who continue to make a mint fortune every day due to syndication.

Just wondered if some of the classic bands have similar issues?
