I thought that was a photograph all this time! Did he commission you to do that painting? Has he seen it? It's amazing!

Me too! I thought it was a picture. Didn't know it was actually painted. Amazing work, FF!

Was 24 not the best the last 2 nights??!!! I just LOVE that show!

For sure! Love that show too, looks like it's going to be much better than last season. Jack, Tony, Cloey and Bill, that's all CTU ever needed anyway.

You first. Who is that anyway?

It's a painting I did of boxer Bernard Hopkins. I will likely change it up soon but as Madsplash apparently hates him, ol' Bernard has had his stay of execution extended. :D

OMG!!! I did not know you painted the boxer.I thought he was a picture you had taken. Do you have any more of them???

I've always thought it revealed an inner character or essence, not just physical features...kind of a well-crafted portrait. So it's a painting! Wow...photographic realism! Very profoundly executed.

I'm working on a few at the moment. Actually just wrestling with a bowed canvas and hoping some linseed oil and applied pressure will do the trick as it's too large to easily replace.

Have you tried a center brace in the back? Also try placing it in a couple of clamps to a table.

It turns out it was just a single brace that had bowed (one of three) and not the frame so I wet it and weighed it down overnight. I'll be assessing the result later this evening as I wanted to leave it 24hrs before checking it. I was going to use clamps next if it was the frame but hopefully I can avoid that now.

Thanks for the interest. I do have a website but it's in the process of a heavy face lift and should be ready again sometime in late January or early February.

An eventual exhibition is definitely something I am working on at the moment. I've not yet completed a proper painting of SP but will likely do a life-sized one in the near future.
