You know I love this guy, but I wish he would have plugged in and had the band there. U2 did. He loves the acoustic guitar because it's more personal, but that song (The Rising), is so much better with electricity. He will probably ply that at the Super Bowl.

Is it me or is he starting to look like Johnny Cash?
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Normally prefer full band but in this setting the silence surrounding his delivery is ominous. Loved it.

He gets a lot of credit from me. The quintessential American rock singer.

I will say one thing about Bruce. He sounds so much better live than his studio releases, IMO. I never listen to a studio song by Bruce. Everything is live. I think the best live singer/performer in music today, bar none.

He's a long way from how Cash ended up but hell, he wore cowboy boots to this so you're onto something there. I'm sure you got a different name for'em down in Texas.

As Deano said above, this guys pushin' 60 and soundin' great. Perry take note!

He takes care of his body, but I have to wonder...He is always spraying nose blasts (snot rockets) on stage...Lula said "Coke?" I of course immediately said no, but maybe...anyway, he works out like a motherfucker. Read where he said he saw Mick getting up there and being in terrific shape, and that he wanted to be able to play til he was 70, and he needed to be healthy bth physically and mentally.

You gonna make us guess which one?

I'm inspired now, listening to Bruce's Greatest Hits. It sure gets the blood pumping.

Here's U2's performance there. Except for Bono's speech between songs it sounds like every other time I've heard them do these. Enjoyed Bruce's much more.
