I did like a lot of the music Jackson was doing up until about 89' or so. What doomed my attraction to Jackson's music wasn't all the charges brought against him by parents, and it really wasn't all the plastic surgeries either, it was how he publically came out saying that he did the surgery only because the white record producers made him do it so the public would accept him. Apparently Jackson stated that he was told by record producers that in order to get a record deal, he had to make himself look white and not black, that the public would accept him and his music more if he wasn't black. But only a decade or less previously, Jackson had made it known that he was doing these operations cause he wanted to look like his life long idol Diana Ross.

So the claim Jackson made later on that white producers told him to do it was complete bullshit. The week he made that comment public, I tossed out all the albums I had of his in my possession. That was it for me. Before the operations he was a good looking black guy and personnally, I believe he was more accepted by the public before he had all this stuff done to his face then after.

One thing for damn sure, I wouldn't trade all the money in the world to look like Jackson now. Very poor planning on his part. Obviously he didn't take into consideration what natural aging will do to all that surgery over time. Two words sums it up....He's fucked.

michael jackson could've been as big as elvis was and neverland could've been like graceland had he just kept himself in good condition and not had any major fuckups.he could've released an album every eight years like the biggest stars do and been clean as a whistle but he couldn't do it.

That's very true, he had what seemed like unstoppable momentum for success at one time. But even though he's fucked it completely all away now, it's still impressive that he was so successful for so many years. Takes a special kind of musican to do that. Elton John, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, are just a few of these special kind that can maintain success throughout the everchanging music scene.

A Broadway musical based on Michael Jackson's 1982 horror-spoof "Thriller" video is in the works. Jackson's rep announced on Monday (January 26th) that the Nederlander Organization had acquired the rights to produce the show. He said, "The Nederlanders and Michael Jackson represent live theater and musical excellence, so let music begin."

Jackson plans to oversee "every aspect of the creative process" and will provide songs from Thriller including "Billie Jean" and "Beat It" as well as tracks from his 1979 multi-platinum album, Off the Wall.
EOnline.com reports that the plot will presumably follow the 14-minute "Thriller" video that focused on Jackson and his date being chased by dancing zombies.
