A lot of people say Deer Creek was their swansong when it comes to great shows with Gramm.

I think he still sounded pretty much the same on the Mr Moonlight tour too. It was AFTER that the tumor hit and his voice deepened.

That venue is within walking distance of my home. Unfortunately, I didn't live here at the time.

The first time I saw Foreigner live was in August '98, right after Lou came back from the surgery. It was in Pierre's, a huge bar in Fort Wayne, and it was in the 90s inside (no AC). Lou had to take hits off an oxygen tank during the show and he was really struggling. We sat stage right, right behind the sound booth area. There was some hot chick standing in there right in front of us and she lifted her top about halfway through the show so that Bruce Turgon could ogle her assets. She was promptly ushered backstage.

There was also another woman standing in the sound booth area for most of the show who had somewhat of a concerned look on her face most of the time. The only thing I could figure is that she was Lou's wife. I felt sorry for the guy. There were times he sounded OK and other times he was definitely straining a bit.

It's so unfortunate what happened to Lou. Apparently it was the surgery, not the brain tumor itself, that caused all of his problems?

I'm pretty sure his vocal troubles can all somehow be traced to Christian rock.

Actually, I'm pretty sure most of the evils in the universe could be traced back to Christian rock.

The meds that he is on has caused him to gain weight and his voice to deepen. He needs the meds because of the surgery

Yeah, especially since it was well known that he was into working out before all this happened. He was in very good shape.

It is terrible what he went through. I own the DeerCreek dvd, but I wonder if anyone out there has any quality video from the Mr. Moonlight tour? I'd pay great money for that one! :D

I've got these two shows from the 1995 Mr. Moonlight tour, I think both aired on TV:

March 27, 1995
Aschaffenburg, Germany

Head Games, Cold As Ice, Interview 1, White Lie, Rain, I've Been Waiting for a Girl Like You, Feels Like the First Time, Interview 2, Guitar Solo, I Want to Know What Love Is

June 7, 1995
Mexico City, Mexico

Long, Long Way from Home, Double Vision, Head Games, Blue Morning, Blue Day, Cold As Ice, White Lie, Rain, Waiting for a Girl Like You, Until the End of Time, That Was Yesterday, Feels Like the First Time, Urgent, Jukebox Hero, Under the Gun, I Want to Know What Love Is, Guitar and Drum Solo, Hot Blooded, Dirty White Boy

I'd be glad to send a you a copy, Jim.
