Kids these days - DSB Story

My daughter came home from high school yesterday and informed me it was 80's day at school (part of spirit week).

During lunch they were playing 80's music and when Don't Stop Believen was played, the kids spontaneously got up and started dancing. They even started dancing on the tables and eventually formed a conga line and were dancing through the cafeteria (never seen THAT one to DSB) . Eventually the lunch nazi's put an end to it but she thought it was great. I found it amusing.

Good to see kids can still have some clean fun...at least since a food fight didn't break out.

The story stopped just before Karma Chameleon was played.... :lol:

Well...at least for 5 months anyway. I graduated in 80. ugh. :cry:

Yeah well, I've seen more than his face...........

Back in late March/early April 2006, right after the first HSM was released, my daughter and I were living in LA for a few months. Well at the time Paramount was filming a tv pilot for about a week at the apartments where we were living. It was called "If You Lived Here You'd Be Home Now", but never made it to tv. Anyway, Zac was the star of the show and Jennifer Coolidge (aka Stifler's Mom in American Pie) played his mother. Well they did most of the shooting near our building since we were right by the office/rec center. My daughter was 12 at the time and was CRAZY for Zac. HSM hadn't been out long enough for him to have to "hide from the public" yet. He drove his own old beat up car to the filming everyday, was never accompanied by anyone. We had a copy of the shooting schedule and spent the week following Zac's every move so my daughter could "watch" him. It was insanely funny. One night they were filming in the office, there were ceiling to floor windows so you could sit outside at the tables and watch everything they were doing. Well they were between scenes and Zac was hanging out with a couple of people in the corner of the office, right by where we were sitting. I was making fun of his jeans to my daughter because to me they looked like "girl" jeans. You know, super straight, super skinny, very low rise. Anyway, we are watching him, we're talking etc. He is busy throwing something (a pen maybe?) up and catching it. It drops, he bends over to pick it up, first I see the red boxers, but he keeps bending. YEP - full on Zac Efron plumber shot! My daughter was so giddy - OMG, OMG no one will ever believe this. OMG OMG. I on the other hand, having a son the same age as Zac, was sitting there thinking - OMG I feel like a perv because I just saw that! Rewind my mind -ERASE, ERASE!

It was hilarious. I have never been able to look at him on tv with a straight face again.
