I Just Saw The Oddest Thing Watching Elton John Concert

Postby Enigma869 » Sat Feb 14, 2009 7:29 am

Okay...so on a Friday afternoon, I decided to blast some Blu-Ray concert DVD's before my wife gets home to ask me if I'm deaf  While watching Elton John in concert from Madison Square Garden, the camera zooms in on the audience during "Rocket Man", and there is Ozzy Osbourne just sitting among the other concert goers watching the concert. Not a guy I expected to see at an Elton John concert, let alone singing along with the audience.

You sure he was singing, or just mouthing some unintelligible gobbledygook?

John,

I'm guessing that was the DVD of Elton's 60th birthday concert at MSG that you were watching.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have both been friends with Elton for a long time. No big surprise that he would be at that celebration...

Who cares if Elton John is gay? That guy is a tremendous singer, player, entertainer.

As for Ozzy being there at an EJ show, remember Heather Locklear and Tommy lee met at a REO concert in LA.

Deano- When I 1st saw Elton in 1970 playing Your Song I thought Wow ! By 1973 I thought Funeral for a friend was the altimate ! We went to see him c 1974-5 . I was disappointed that he did not dress as the Statue of Liberty at out concert. This costume was pictured on the cover of Time magazine. We had festival seating at the time so we could watch his hands. He plays his own percussion and is genius ! Someone was burning rope around us and it smelled......... Many guys in antiques , over the last 15 yrs are the best to work with and learn from for their expertise. Geo Michael and Freddie Mercury are outstanding and created music to last a lifetime.

No offense Dipshit, but he is in your sig too.

Why anyone would have Friga-Cain in your sig is beyond me.

That was a GREAT concert. I had the pleasure of being their live, and he played 3.5 hours worth of music. By the end, his voice was shot, but the songs he covered that night were unreal to b heard live!
