To me 'One More' is amongst the worst Journey songs both lyrically and musically, I just can't stand the sound.

One More is one of the BEST Journey songs, both lyrically and musically, and I hit the repeat button on the car CD player every time TBF is playing ( Smitty's drums, Neal's solo, Perry's emoting). It can't always be about love, FF.

I hate that word - defined as 'theatrical overacting' it doesn't really do justice to Perry's ability to convey emotion through his singing.

It seems 'One More' is very highly regarded amongst many MR folk but it really grates on me. It just sounds whiny to my ears. Can't like everything though.

His best performance has to be Patiently from 1980 tour in Houston. The Still They Ride performance someone posted earlier is also damn good

Some posters mentioned this concert. Start of the Frontiers tour, 3rd stop in Japan. Steve was in fine form, as opposed to the wear and tear near the end of the tour. Listen to After the Fall … mentioned by JoePa … better than the record.
