WALK OF FAME PERFORMANCE?

Postby PianoMan1986 » Fri Feb 20, 2009 4:36 pm

It could be that it's late where I'm at and I'm tired, but did Journey play a show at the House of Blues the day that they received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? If so, is there any footage of this. I vaguely recall Deen saying that Steve Smith sat in on Wheel In The Sky..?

Are you getting this confused with the 2003 show at the Warfield after they got inducted into the California Hall of Fame? It certainly was an all-star show. Aynsley Dunbar sat in for Deen on Wheel In The Sky, but I don't remember Smitty ever sitting in with Journey since he left. Sammy Hagar also joined the band for a couple of songs in the encore, if I remember correctly.

Yes.
Aynsley sat in during the House of Blues show.
I believe Fleishman also participated onstage.

I was there...it was great to see both Anysley and Steve Smith play drums. RF did sing with SA. Was wishing SP would appear, but I was thrilled to see him earlier at the Star. Also, wish Rolie had been there.

That was a great show wasn't it?? I remember it being hotter than all hell though. I started in the 2nd row from the stage but people kept passing out so I made it to the front row!! :D
