Well if Neal rocks harder on the next album, I'll be happy even though the album probably won't be to everyone's tastes. I personally would be happy with Journey never doing a ballad again. Hopefully, being around these hard rock festivals will rub off on Cain somehow.

Confirmed in local press today that Jouney are special guests to Whitesnake and Def Leppard with support from Tesla,
over here in Ireland on 12th June, tickets go on sale next Friday.

Nearly a year to the day when they played Ireland for the first time. What a night its gonna be.

I cannot wait. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Cannot see why Journey should have to support those bands....neither of them were ever, ever in Journey's league. Coverdale was a great singer but he is a long way past that. And Joe Elliot is a turd.

Coverdale's voice still sounds pretty good, but Joe Elliot sounds terrible live, especially nowadays. Journey is ALOT better live than Def Leppard anyday.

Coverdale does sound mainly good - but it gets very thin when he goes high - mind you - after i posted that - i thought, Coverdale has a decent voice for a man his age who smokes...

Just wish they would get this rumoured Mark III Deep Purple thing going - would love to see him and Ritchie on stage belting out Burn and Mistreated.......

Isn't Ritchie off with his wife making Hobbit music or something to that effect?

Blackmore's Night. Actually pretty good, if you aren't expecting it to sound anything like his earlier stuff.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Some of it is not too far from sounding like Rainbow - and a lot of it is really enjoyable, and a little bit of it is twee and boring. Overall pretty good tho - Kudos to the man for not just grinding out Smoke On The Water and taking the cash tho - unlike the current line-up which is dull.....
