remember when you found out about concerts from your local DJ about 4-6 weeks before the concert dates? i tend to lose interest or even totally forget about shows nowadays when they go on sale 6 months ahead of time.

I remember, having to ditch school to sit out front of the departent store waiting for it to open to get tickets. You're right, probably a month before the show, they went on sale and that's all we talked about in school. It was a big deal.
I think they used to just add shows as they went along, not like now when the whole tour is already planned in advance.

it's been 30 years since i first starting going to concerts (cheap trick was one of my first) & i still go through what i call "ticket panic" where you stress about when the onsale/presale will be, will the passcode work, what section do you want a ticket in or will you even get a ticket at all? at least i don't have to sit out on the sidewalk for hours while i stress out now!

At least you got to sit outside in California. I recall one very early sub -zero February morning when I was about 12, maybe 13, and when we finally got the tickets, all that was available was LAWN. Never did that again after that day.

I want to see this show if I can. I've never seen Poison, and I wouldn't mind seeing DL again.

Are you already hitting the bong dude?

Ok Cheap Trick, the world's best garage band; Poison, a bunch of hair dressing fags who knock your socks off with Unskinny Bop, and then finally, the biggest lip syncing shit band in the world? Duuuude, check yourself. Isn't their a Cubs v Pirates Doubleheader at Wrigley, or maybe a White Sox / A's night game you could catch with 5,600 of Chicago's hardest core Palehose fans, in 98 degree humid weather with all those fucking welfare gnats and bugs, groaching everyone's popcorn tubs looking for free grub, and when they don't get any, they decide to bite your neck? Ugh.

Cheap Trick are good as an opening act and Poison puts on a great show. Def Leppard, enhancements included, still put on a very solid show. Lawn seats will probably be $30. Can't beat it.

I loved Cheap Trick on the last tour. I've seen Poison once before and it was a good show. Seen Def Leppard a few times now and it's hit or miss with how Joe will sound. My sister is a huge Poison/Def Leppard fan and she actually bought ILAA tickets for the Cleveland show and said she is taking me since I took her to Journey/Heart/CT. I don't really think it was worth the money but hey, she's treating. But then the next day she won 2 more tickets for this concert on the radio.
